Studio Contemporary Dance Company (SSP)

Founded in the 1962/63 season under the artistic direction of Ana and Vera Maletić, Studio Contemporary Dance Company (SSP) holds a pioneering role in the development of contemporary dance in Croatia and the wider region. As the first contemporary dance ensemble in Croatia, the company has played a vital role in shaping the national dance scene, continuously producing innovative dance projects and fostering generations of dancers, educators, and choreographers.

With over 60 years of continuous artistic activity, SSP remains a key force in both the Croatian and international dance landscape, pushing creative boundaries and redefining contemporary movement expression.

SSP’s work is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Media, the City of Zagreb, and the Kultura Nova Foundation.

Management & Production with IM industries

Since late 2019, IM industries has been responsible for the management, administrative structuring and production coordination of SSP, ensuring the organization’s long-term sustainability, operational efficiency, and enabling artistic excellence while expanding its reach and impact.
